Let’s Take A Look At The Differences Between The Three Types Of American Standard Ball Valves
The American standard ball valve is a ball valve produced according to American standards. Its closing part is a ball, which is mainly opened and closed by rotating the ball around the center line of the valve body.
Ball Valve can be classified into three types according to different structural forms: floating ball valve, fixed ball valve, and elastic ball valve.
1. Floating ball valve
The ball of the floating ball valve is in a floating state. Under the action of the medium pressure, it will produce a certain displacement and press tightly against the sealing surface of the outlet end to ensure the sealing of the outlet end.
The floating ball valve has the characteristics of good sealing and simple structure.
2. Fixed ball valve
The ball of the fixed ball valve is in a fixed state and will not move under pressure. It has a floating valve seat. After being subjected to the medium pressure, the valve seat will move, so that the sealing ring is pressed tightly against the ball to ensure sealing.
3. Elastic Ball Valve
The ball of the elastic ball valve is in an elastic state. The ball and the valve seat seal are made of metal materials. The sealing pressure ratio is very large. The medium pressure itself cannot meet the sealing requirements and external force is required.
