In addition, the total amount of the outlets of the two flow channels remains unchanged during the switching process, which can ensure that the flow channels of the inlet and outlet are always unobstructed. This design is generally used for two sets of oil coolers or two sets of filters to achieve disturbance-free switching, that is, the oil supply will not be interrupted during the switching process. But the L type is not possible. Before the L-type three-way ball valve is fully switched into place, the outlet flow is less than the normal operating flow, and the outlet may be cut off when switching to the middle position, causing the system to cut off oil.
