Gate Valve has the following advantages and disadvantages:
Advantages: small resistance, easy opening and closing, no restrictions on the flow direction of the medium (i.e. no difference in installation direction), small disturbance to the fluid, simple shape, short structure length.
Disadvantages: repeated friction between the sealing rubber and the valve body, easy to scratch, causing leakage; large size, especially the rising stem gate valve, requires a certain amount of space to open, and takes a long time to open and close. It can only be fully opened or fully closed, and cannot be used to adjust the flow.
