What Does Odd And Even Mean In Ball Valves? How To Distinguish Them?
Single ball valve is the abbreviation of Ball Valve; double ball valve is the abbreviation of double-acting pneumatic ball valve.
Single-acting pneumatic ball valve is air-opened and spring-closed; while double-acting pneumatic ball valve is air-opened and air-closed.
Single/double ball valves are actually divided according to actuators. Actuators include single-acting pneumatic actuators and double-acting pneumatic actuators.
Single-acting pneumatic actuators have one more pair of springs than double-acting actuators. When the air source is lost, the spring resets the actuator.
For hazardous media or when it is necessary to maintain a safe and comprehensive working condition when the air source is lost, it is recommended to use single-acting.
When selecting the model, the spring force must be selected according to the size of the on-site air source pressure, otherwise the air source pressure may be less than the spring force to overcome the spring force and the actuator cannot be driven.
When selecting an actuator, considering the gradual decrease of the spring force, it should be ensured that the minimum spring force can drive the valve normally.
